Runaway

"Look, I really feel like you should re-evaluate some of your choices here. First of all, you're following a thirteen-year-old boy - what did you think was going to happen? Second of all, if that boy finds out that you let us beat you, and drag you away from your post, how do you think … Continue reading Runaway

Little Taryn here is a Viridi Ruinia dragon. Of the several dozen unique species in the Viridi line, Ruinia is one of the most commonly sighted and easily transplanted from the forests where these creatures make their homes. Ruinias grow a wide variety of plants along their backs and tails, which will change with their environment and diet, making them excellent pollinators and perfect companions for herbologists and witches. They enjoy basking in the sun and eating fresh fruits by the basketfull, and their average lifespan is around 100 years. As best we can tell, Taryn is about eleven years old - still an infant by any standard. He's quite shy and will require a lot of quiet, calm and attention. Perspective adopters should also note that exclamations regarding his chubby cutness embarass him greatly. Adelaide is an amethyst dragon, one of several species of dragons who grow clusters of precious and semi-precious stones from their bodies. When the stones reach a size that can no longer be sustained by the dragon, they break off and new stone growth begins. As a result these dragons are highly coveted for their money making potential. The demand for amethysts and their cousins was so high and fierce in years past that many kingdoms enacted laws to protect the creatures from being pushed to extinction. Now, amethyst dragons can often be found in affluent family homes, or with those attempting to reestablish the population. Their small size and friendly, curious nature make them wonderful companions for small children and other animals. #dragons #dragon #alwaysastory #amwriting #amcrafting #polymerclay #polymerclayfigurine #fantasywriting
Ignis Armonian dragon egg - This type of dragon egg might be quite beautiful but it represents great devastation. Prior to the laying of these eggs - usually in pairs - the mother flies great distances to find the perfect location to set ablaze, the flames and smoldering debris serving as the eggs' nest. In ancient times, dense forests were often the ideal location, but in the more modern era, large rural villages have become particularly appealing to this species. At two to three days, they have the shortest gestation period of any known dragon, and as a result the east has quite a problem with their prevalence. It is rare to find a single ignis armonian egg, and though they always remain warm to the touch for a long time after discovery, no one is quite sure how long they take to hatch without the blazes of destruction. #dragon #dragonart #dragoneggs #fantasy #fantasywriting #prettythings #fantasyadventure #imkeepingit
Growing up in a small town meant that the library computers were on dial up and the shelves never had complete series. I discovered manga like a lot of people do in my teens. They only ever had single copies of early volumes though, so I was never able to finish any of the stories. A year ago I started collecting my favorites again, and up until yesterday, I had 1-3 of #RurouniKenshin. Then the rest of the collection was waiting for me at #halfpricebooks. Best $100 I spent all week. #teendreamfulfilled #manga #nerdygirl #librarylove #justonemorechapter #alwaysreading
It's been 15 year, and I still regret what happened at the lake that night. It wasn't supposed to go down that way. #writer #writing #writingprompts #fiction #amwriting #finishthestory #lakehouse #whathappened #microstory #shortfiction
